This washed microlot is sourced from female producer Merly Leon. Her 12 hectare farm La Palta is situated in Queromarccaat 2,250 metres above sea level, making it ideal for the production of speciality coffee due to its abundant sunshine and cool temperatures. Along with her sister Ismeria who also operates a farm in the region, she is a member of the Aromas del Co- operative. Merly is driven and inquisitive, constantly seeking to improve quality and productivity on the farm. This washed lot includes an extended 48hour anaerobic fermentation before washing.
Merly is 37 years of age, was born in Santa Teresa de Queromarca, and is a very hardworking and persevering woman always thinking about getting ahead and meeting many goals set at very young age.
